New house by EcoBuildConstruct in Scotland
These are the photos of our new house build project in Scotland. All aspects of the build were by EcoBuildContruct working with the architect and building control. This house was made using the Porotherm system and the blocks will have good opportunity to demonstrate their insulating properties, keeping the occupants warm and cosy during the coldest of winters. Here is the finished house. A new house gives us the opportunity to show off the range of our skills and experience. EcoBuildConstruct were responsible for everything in the build, including groundworks, supply of services and sewerage, structure including flooring joists and roofing, glazing, doors, electrics, central heating, plumbing, plastering, tiling, kitchen and bathroom installation, insulation etc. etc. Naturally, compliance with building regulations and planning was strictly adhered to.
The first layer of Protherm blocks is being laid. It is the same width as the brick, block and cavity and provides all three functions at once.
Below you can see how the precision ground blocks can be stuck with a thin line of special cement. This makes the wall very accurate in its final dimensions yet quick and economical to build.
The bathroom is fully tiled by EcoBuildConstruct and includes a power shower
The kitchen and all its supporting pipework and services was installed by EcoBuildConstruct, including all tiling, electrics and lighting.
Flooring joists with extra inter-costal supports for additional first floor stiffness.
